This wall yoga poster was designed by artist and yoga teacher Elaine McCracken for the opening of her yoga studio in 2003. The picture was originally designed for a class but became popular among yoga enthusiasts everywhere!

She wanted to create something unique that would inspire people to practice yoga. The results are a stunning illustration featuring the Surya Namaskar sequence, which is one of the most famous sequences in yoga.

Surya Namaskar Yoga Poster depicts how each pose represents a different part of the body, starting with the feet and ending with the crown chakra.

To create the artwork, Elaine used a single sheet of watercolour paper. She painted each pose directly onto the surface with a calligraphy brush and the texture of the paper to create simple, illustrative effects. The illustration was arranged in a natural design to emphasise the flow of the poses. She hand wrote the instructions herself and inserted them directly into the artwork.

The final product is a striking piece of art that will look great hanging on your wall. It’s perfect for anyone who wants to learn more about yoga or just enjoy the beauty of the Sun Salutation series.
