What are online yoga classes?
Online Yoga classes are live & interactive classes where you participate in real-time—shared through the high-quality video conferencing app, Zoom. The world of Yoga has moved online because of the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. Online Yoga classes allow us to continue our Yoga practice together through Zoom now; all my Yoga classes are online. I can teach you from the comfort of your home using the latest online technology.
Online Yoga Workshops.
Yoga workshop(s) (Scaravelli inspired Yoga) are my favourite teaching platform. We have the time and space to explore various themes. You’ll get to understand how to approach this holistic practice that is kind and informative. Let’s explore together.
Online One to One Yoga.
A to One Yoga session is useful for assessing your unique body map and how compliant you are in yoga postures. Movement is natural to humans, and our yoga practice should support it. My method is very accessible and benefits you.
Online Yoga Classes.
My approach to yoga teaching is to encourage students to develop an awareness of their unique body maps. Afterwards, establishing intuitive movements, revealing our inner rhythms, which feels like freedom. Learning safe Asana practice.
Scaravelli inspired yoga.
Scaravelli inspired Yoga should feel very natural and intuitive. Human movement is natural, and our yoga practice should support it. Sometimes, in modern postural Yoga, the complete opposite happens. We need to pay attention to what we notice as sensations and feel as we move in and out of postures.
In that way, we can experience our unique neurological body map. How well we move in Yoga postures or asana depends on it.
Yoga for life.
We want to practice and re-habituate movements that complement our everyday lives. These are the simple and often overlooked tasks like getting down and up from the floor without assistance and bending forward to pick things up and reaching above our heads. Yoga can help you notice yourself and thus create a better life to live into our old age.Peter Blackaby
In my beginner’s yoga classes, there is no pressure to perform, to achieve significant stretches. I encourage students to feel what they are doing. The feeling of movement, of how we notice ourselves is very advanced Yoga. You don’t need to be flexible to be a yogi, beginner or advanced.
Scaravelli inspired Yoga is a grounding, sensitive practice, and I love teaching it.
Why should I do a yoga class?
The benefits of regular yoga practice are well known. Scientific research documents the accumulation of positive effects on the nervous system, respiratory system, and endocrine system. A balanced yoga practice soothes our entire organism. The world is online, and online Yoga is a convenient solution to an age-old philosophy in an extraordinary time.
Yoga is about awareness.
Your body has an innate intelligence, tapping into that, stopping to listen, and experience the internal dialogue taking place. Together we can explore this in our yoga class.
Home yoga practice space.
Making a practice space at home to attend your online class can be as easy as just sitting on the floor with your device pointing at you from a couple of meters or less. But, of course, it would be best if you have space to lie down too. And, of course, it is useful to have a yoga mat. I can record the session. You’ll get a link to it.
My type of yoga.
Scaravelli inspired Yoga taught online is useful because I can see when you practice correctly and follow the instructions. As you know, yoga classes with me are not just about applied anatomy. More about encouraging you to notice how you feel in movement and stillness.
Yoga Teachers and Experience
It is vitally important in a yoga class to have a qualified and experienced teacher. Injuries can and do happen to yoga teachers and students alike. Your Yoga practice should support the normal range of functional movement we humans have. Sometimes the opposite happens in Isle of Wight yoga classes and elsewhere. Scaravelli inspired Yoga is a sensitive, intelligent approach to yoga practice, informed by a contemporary understanding of how humans work. When teaching, I intend to help you find the most appropriate and natural way to experience freedom and ease in body and mind, movement and stillness.
Is Yoga Exercise or How I Feel?
Even the most dynamic forms of Yoga are not substantially aerobic. But they all have a considerable benefit through the parasympathetic nervous system. We connect to the world through our central nervous system so how we relate to ourselves and others is how we feel.
Yoga means many things, too many people. But, after more than 25 years of practice and teaching, I feel that it is about what we believe. Our beliefs determine our reality. In the Isle of Wight Yoga class, you have the chance to explore what makes you, you. It can change how you relate to your world.
