About My Teaching

I have been teaching yoga for more than 25 years, and from my home studio in Shanklin since 2003. My teaching is inspired by Vanda Scaravelli’s work with gravity, breath and the freedom of the spine, and informed by a continuing interest in functional human movement. Rather than asking you to achieve a particular shape, we explore how you move, where unnecessary tension appears, and what changes when you stop forcing.

Groups are deliberately small, with a maximum of six people, so the teaching can respond to the people in the room. One to one sessions go further still, building a practice entirely around your body, your history and what you want from yoga.

What To Bring

Just wear comfortable clothes you can move in. Mats, props and equipment are all provided, so there is nothing to buy before you start. For online sessions, you will need a quiet space with room to move and a laptop or tablet with Zoom.

If you have an injury, a health condition or simply questions about whether yoga is right for you, let me know when you book. Scaravelli-inspired yoga adapts to the body you have today, and we can shape each session around what you need.
