Seniors Yoga at any age
My take on a yoga practice is that it should support our normal human functional range of movement. Yoga should not impede on our evolutionary ability to move well and with ease. We need to learn how to listen to our bodies through feeling our felt sensations via our nervous system. If we can do that, we have the chance to undo deeply routed habitual patterns, that no end of stretching, pushing and pushing will undo.
Starting Seniors yoga now will enable you to fully enjoy many benefits and help keep you moving without pain. You don’t need to be able to touch your toes to do yoga, and you don’t need to be young. Far from it, in fact. Yoga can be practised by anyone regardless of their age, physical abilities and body or health conditions.
