About me, Erling McCracken, because I am a yoga teacher.
Of course, I’m not only a yoga teacher, but that also wouldn’t be very interesting for you if that were all I was.
I think yoga is about knowing ourselves as awareness; yoga, for me, is self-inquiry. The journey as a human is evolving, and this has to apply to our yoga practise. I am not the same person I was when I started my yoga journey 24 years ago. So I like to say about me: I am first and foremost a human being and a yogi second—proud father and husband.
I am also a 500-hour Dip 2. IYN accredited yoga teacher. I have been practising and teaching yoga for more than 20 years. I have owned and managed a yoga studio and retreat centre for 18 years and completed two yoga teacher training programmes during that time. The last as a Scaravell-inspired yoga teacher.
I have been fortunate to have met many inspiring teachers in the tradition of yoga, having spent many days on retreat and in workshops continually learning. What yoga can reveal is probably our interconnected nature that modern life seems to pull apart.
Yoga teaching is my passion. It is the thread that has weaved so much of my life together. Yoga connects us and keeps us together. My understanding of this is the teaching I’ll share with you.
Anyway, enough about me.
